So, How does it feel like to be elite on SD?
Honestly, i've never felt like something 'special' like an Elite on Stardoll. I just feel like a normal person on a fashion website that i enjoy. It does make me feel kind of special to hear people refer to me as an elite though. It feels like people look up to me and pay closer attention to what i am on here than i think.
Who is your BEST friend that you would trust with your account someday?
Well, i don't see myself giving my account to anyone if i choose to leave. I'd probably just close my account and go about my business. If i were to do that though, i would trust either JadaJane or bdogg28 with my account. They have been 2 people who are there for me to chat to about anything, real-life-related or not. They are 2 very cool people and i suggest everyone reading this should get to know them.
Here's a question everybody wants to know. How do you have clothing in StarDesign that no one else has?
I'm not the only one with access to these items. There's a lot of designers out there who design on the clothing you're referring to. There's a link you have to use, but for some strange reason it doesn't work for everyone (it just refers you back to the regular stardesign).
Do you ever PRETEND to like any of your friends? Why?
No. I'm a very honest and straight-forward person. If i dislike someone completely, i just simply won't talk to them or have anything to do with them (which is what i wish people would do to me if they hate me so much, instead of harass me all of the time). If i like them, i'll talk to them and if i see them as a best friend, i will talk to them often.
This has been nice, We have only 2 more questions to go. Hm. Do you keep everything about SD private from friends in RL? Why? (To be honest, I do. I only told two of my bestfriends!).
Yes, it has been nice! No, i don't keep Stardoll a secret from my friends. It's not something i go around telling people about, haha. But if they ask, i tell them. It's a fun website that is fashion-centered. I'll tell you right now, my real name isn't Mandy, but it's very similar to my real name in real life. I like to practice online safety and protect my true identity, so i chose a name similar to my real one and went with that on here. Now, some people may call me fake or call me a weirdo for doing that, but honestly, i don't have a very big interest in having people harass me in real life as well lol. So i choose to keep them separate, but not from my real-life friends.
Was poohg_1993 always your account? And what made you think of the name?
This account was given to me in 2009 by Haley, the original owner. I had an account of my own since 2006 just like Haley did, but after joining, i deleted my account because i could never be SS. I would come online on Haley's account once in a while and when she got tired of the website, she asked if i wanted the account. Obviously, i accepted and have been here ever since. I didn't choose her username but i know what it all stands for: pooh = Winnie the Pooh (her favorite book when she was little), g = her last name's initial, 1993 = the year she was born. This is how i know people with similar usernames to mine on here are posers. There's no way that it's a coincidence that our usernames are similar. Mine stands for specific things. It's not random.
Seventh: Last question. What do you think the shame(s) of SD are/is? Do you like SD? They treat you well all the time...
I think Stardoll really needs to step up their game on security. They don't treat me well. It took me a lot of hard work to get them to refund items from when i was hacked. I've been hacked 3 times and this last time, nothing was returned. I had to re-buy everything and some friends were kind enough to give me their own items. I think they need to be appreciative of all of their members that PAY to be here, because the prices of things on here go up all the time, and the rules get more and more strict. One rule i dislike very much is that we can not sell rares for over 500 stardollars anymore. That's how i'd always make my money. I make some from sales, but selling rares was a sure thing for me. They say it's against the rules for security reasons, but all it is, is selling numerous items in the bazaar for 500sd until the person you're selling the rare item to buys enough to get you the amount they promised (like 2,000 stardollars for example), and then you sell them the item they wanted in the first place for the remaining amount. There's nothing security-threatening or against-the-rules about selling items in the starbazaar, so i really don't see why that specific activity is against the rules. Yet, some people still do it. I suggest reporting those people so everyone's treated fairly on here, or fight Stardoll about it. I know this is a very long response, but let me tell you one thing: I know there's people that think i am unfairly treated by SD on here, but i'm truly not given special treatment at all. I am constantly writing to them and pushing for better things on Stardoll. I suggested a safe-trading system to them and look what happens a few months later: reserving items in the bazaar. I always try to get them to let certain things not be against the rules and give suggestions i hear everyone talk about all the time. I'm on your guys' side. I'm no pampered princess here.
I hope you all liked the interview with one of bettyuniqueworld.blogspot.com's favorites, Mandy(:
